CABARROGUIS, Quirino (PIA)- – The Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) and the Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC) recently commended all the Municipal Peace and Order Councils (MPOCs) and Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Councils (MADACs) in the province of Quirino for their collective effort to maintain peace and order and intensify anti-illegal drugs activities in the province.
In Joint Resolution No. 01, Series of 2024, adopted on November 26, 2024, it was stated that the commendation is a result of the 2024 Performance Audit, wherein all the MPOCs in the province were pronounced as high-performing.
Furthermore, it was also stated that the municipalities of Aglipay, Diffun and Saguday were hailed as national awardees while the municipalities of Cabarroguis, Maddela and Nagtipunan obtained a High Functional rating in the 2024 Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) Performance Audit.
The ADAC performance award is given to LGUs that pass the following eligibility criteria: An overall performance score in the functionality audit of 100 points; LGU does not have any seriously affected barangays for the audit year 2023; and LGU possesses institutional integrity.
The ADAC Performance Audit is conducted annually to assess the functionality and effectiveness of local ADACs based on existing issuances and policies; determine ADAC-initiated and/or endorsed innovations, and best practices at all levels; create an evaluation, and assessment platform; and recognize effective and performing ADACs.
