“It is you who must work for that,” said PRC-10 Regional Director Julie L. Sabalza during the December 10 episode of Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas.
The director announced that all Department of Education divisions in Region 10 have received PRC accreditation, allowing them to use all of their activities and training for the continuing professional development (CPD) needed to renew a PRC license.

“Dapat imong credentials mao to basihan sa imong qualification to become a professional or expert sa imong field, so definitely si CPD dili gyud na siya mawala,” she said.
(Your credentials should serve as the basis for your qualifications to become a professional or expert in your field, so CPD will definitely always be essential.)
According to Sabalza, they are ensuring that all government offices are providers through the training conducted by their human resources (HR). “In fact, we have our ongoing examination, where all volunteer professionals will earn two units per day. At the same time, they will be paid,” she said.
Republic Act (RA) 10912, also referred to as the “Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Act of 2016,” establishes CPD as a mandatory requirement for the renewal of Professional Identification Cards for all registered and licensed professionals under PRC regulation.
As of November 2024, PRC-10 has processed 19,627 applications for licensure examinations; meanwhile, 31 licensure examinations were conducted, and 22,957 examinees took the licensure exam.
The commission reminded PRC license holders to value this privilege.
Usually, cases that revoke a PRC license are grounded on immoral conduct, the lawyer added.
