CEBU CITY, Cebu (PIA) – As part of the ongoing efforts to digitize its operations and enhance customer service, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) in Region 7 continues to implement the Licensure Examination and Registration Information System (LERIS) to enhance the efficiency of PRC services in the region.
During the 28th episode of the ‘Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas’ conducted by the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) 7, PRC-7 regional director Narcival Z. Taquiqui said they have been implementing LERIS for licensure examinations, registration, license renewal, and other PRC online services
The implementation of LERIS means that applicants or clients may now access all PRC services without visiting their main office in person.
From registration to the issuance of certificates, everything will be processed online.
“The implementation of this LERIS, the applicants will go online. So, we have no more manual application of all services for PRC,” he said.
Under the system, applicants are required to create an account on the PRC website if they do not already have one.
Once registered, they can log into their accounts to apply for licensure examinations, request professional identification card renewals, submit applications for certifications, and complete the oath-taking process.
Taquiqui also emphasized the user-friendly features of the system, including a verification tool that allows applicants to check the status of their licenses at any time.
“Also, our client can verify their status through our system which is the verification system,” he said.
The LERIS platform is expected to significantly reduce processing times and minimize human error that makes it easier for professionals across various fields to access the services they need.
Now that the system is fully operational, PRC-7 encourages all professionals and exam applicants in the region to take advantage of the online services. (MSH/PIA7 Cebu)
