CEBU CITY, Cebu (PIA) — The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) in Region 7 will launch the Computer-Based Licensure Examination (CBLE) in Cebu in 2025.
This will be PRC-7’s first computer-based program in the region.
This was announced by PRC-7 regional director Narchival Z. Taquiqui during the 28th episode of the ‘Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas.’
“We will be launching our first PRC Computer-based Licensure Examination here in Cebu PRC in Visayas. We will be launching this in the first quarter of this year,” he said.
Taquiqui said the PRC-7 is transitioning from traditional pen-and-paper licensure exams to computer-based exams as part of the PRC’s efforts to digitize and streamline the licensure process.
“We will be shifting soon from pen and paper to computer-based. This is part of the digitalization of our licensure of examination,” he said.
Taquiqui said the CBLE is more convenient because the results are immediately available after taking the exam.
“Madali mag-exam dito kasi lalabas kaagad ang result ng exam,” he said.
(Taking an exam here is quick because the results will be released immediately.)
Taquiqui also shared that the computer systems have been installed and are undergoing tests in preparation for the launching of the CBLE.
The CBLE will be located at the 4th floor of the GMC Building in front of Plaza Independencia in Cebu City. (MSH/PIA 7 Cebu)
