BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) — The Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) has approved the establishment of a service center in Nueva Vizcaya to cater to locals and other clients from neighboring provinces.
The PRC Service Center, which is expected to be opened by April this year, will be operated and managed in a mobile service set-up at the Nightingale Hall within the Provincial Capitol compound in this town.
PRC Regional Director John Alilam said the PLGU will shoulder the salaries of two staff who will be assigned to the PRC Service Center, including the provision of computers and internet connection.
“These staff will undergo a week-long training at the PRC Regional Office in Tuguegarao before their deployment to the PRC office,” he said.
Alilam also stressed the potential of Nueva Vizcaya as a venue for licensure examinations, specifically for teachers and the criminology board exam.
“Given the significant number of examinees from Nueva Vizcaya, we will explore the possibility of hosting these important board exams in the province. This would greatly benefit our local professionals and make the examination process more accessible,” he said.
Alilam recently met with Governor Jose Gambito to relay their approval on their request and other plans of the agency.
The approval of the PRC for the establishment of their service center in the province was requested by Governor Jose Gambito to assist professionals in Nueva Vizcaya and from the provinces of Ifugao and Quirino in accessing essential services from the agency.
“Many professionals from our province usually travel to Baguio City, Santiago City, or Tuguegarao City to apply for their PRC licenses, which can be both time-consuming and costly,” he said. (OTB/BME/PIA NVizcaya)
