PRC XI affirms commitment to embrace digital services system

DAVAO CITY (PIA) – Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) XI regional director Raquel R. Abrantes has affirmed the agency’s support to the government’s digitalization transformation program in efficiently delivering programs and services.

“We wholeheartedly embrace this vision and are actively implementing digital transformation to support it, fostering a more responsive, e fficient, and citizen-centric government that prioritizes the needs of the Filipino people,” Abrantes stated in her message during an episode of the Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas of the Philippine Information Agency XI.

In line with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s vision, PRC is rolling out several initiatives to enhance its services and operations, such as the Online Application and Payment System and the Digitalized Examination System.

“Through these initiatives, we aim to modernize our operations, improve accessibility, and create a more citizen-centered government that truly serves the needs of the Filipino people,” Abrantes said.

Davao City was the first PRC Regional Office to be ready for the Computer-Based Licensure Examination (CBLE), launched on 11 August 2024 beginning with the Psychologist Licensure Examination.

To date, PRC XI has already administered seven examinations using this type of modality with a total of 283 examinees.

Meanwhile, Abrantes disclosed that they are continuing to expand their services with the opening of regional offsites in Tagum City in Davao del Norte, Digos City in Davao del Sur, and at the Gaisano Mall One-Stop Service Center for OFWs (OSSCO) XI.

A service center in Mati City in Davao Oriental will soon be opened. “This is ensuring our services reach even the most remote communities,” she said. (CLC/PIA Davao)
