Pres Marcos secures $22M investments in Indonesia

MANILA, (PIA) — President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. was able to secure an estimated US$22 million (P1.25 billion) in investment pledges in Jakarta, Indonesia.

This is after President Marcos met with business leaders in Indonesia on Tuesday, September 5, who promised that they will expand their businesses in the Philippines.

These include companies related to animal health, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital connectivity and Marcos also talked to the top executives of PT Vaksindo Satwa Nusantara, PT WIR Asia Tbk, and Pasifik Satelit Nusantara (PSN).

PT Vaksindo Satwa Nusantara said that their group will contact their local partner Univet Nutrition and Animal Healthcare Company (UNAHCO Inc.) Philippines for veterinary vaccines where US$2 million investments will be made this year.

The company also targets to produce an avian influenza vaccine in the Philippines.

Apart from this, Marcos also talked to the officials of PT WIR Asia Tbk who will make a US$20 million investment.

It can be recalled that WIR is an Indonesian company that develops augmented reality (AR) technology integrated with virtual reality (VR) and artificial intelligence (AI).

It is considered the first Metaverse company in Indonesia. (PIA-NCR)
