QUEZON CITY — The Department of Health Center for Health Development Calabarzon aims to vaccinate around 254,000 eligible individuals in the region during the ‘Bayanihan Bakunahan 4’ from March 10-12, 2022.
DOH CALABARZON Regional Director Ariel I. Valencia expressed optimism that Calabarzon will reach its target through the help and support of the LGUs and volunteers all over the region.
“Ngayong ‘Bayanihan Bakunahan 4’ susuyurin natin ang mga hindi pa naaabot ng Bakuna, nagsagawa tayo ng mapping sa mga unvaccinated individuals, paiigtingin pa natin ang pagbabahay- bahay at ang ating mobile vaccination upang abutin ang mga prayoridad na mabakunahan sa loob ng mga bara-barangay, “Regional Director Ariel I. Valencia said.
“Bagama’t papunta na ang mga pumupunta sa mga vaccination sites, tiwala ako na maabot natin ang ating target dahil sa tulong ng mga masisipag nating health care workers, sa pangunguna ng mga Local Chief Executives (LCEs), at ating partners ” he added.
Further, individuals due for their second dose, unvaccinated senior citizen (A2), booster, and adolescents are among the populations set to be prioritized during ‘Bayanihan Bakunahan 4’.
During the 3-days ‘Bayanihan Bakunahan 4’ region IV-A will vaccinate a total of 254, 952 individuals, 2nd dose- 93,613, A2 Target (elderly)- 47,702, 141,315- Primary dose series target, and Booster targets- 113, 637.
As of March 8, 2022, a total of 20,770,471 doses of COVID-19 vaccines in over 688 active vaccination sites were administered in Calabarzon; 9,678,737 (73%) individuals were fully vaccinated; 10, 337, 477 (78%) received their first dose; while 1, 821, 471 (17%) individuals have received their booster dose.
Consumption for the various COVID-19 vaccines is at 6, 836,706 for Sinovac; a total of 2, 914,180 for AstraZeneca; 442, 400 for Gamaleya; 8, 683, 770 for Pfizer; 1,571,600 for Janssen; and 317, 600 Sinopharm (DOH CALABARZON).
