EL SALVADOR CITY, Misamis Oriental --Department of Agriculture Senior Undersecretary Domingo F. Panganiban led the turnover of the P22,138,058.72 dairy milk processing and marketing enterprise to the Northern Mindanao Federation of Dairy Cooperatives (NMFDC) Tuesday, March 21, this city.

Misamis Oriental 2nd district representative Vincente Yevgeny B. Emano together with Governor Peter N. Unabia and NMFDC Chairman Roberto Enerio received the certificate of turnover from DA Sr. USec. Panganiban, DA-10 Regional Executive Director and PRDP-10 Project Director Carlene C. Collado.

“Ito ay isang proyektong ginagampanan ng mga tao na hindi kilala ngunit handa silang patunayan na ang pagagatas lalo na sa mga baka ay isang magandang halimbawa para ating tularan at ganapin at dapat isaganap para dumami at ipalawig ang gatas sa buong Pilipinas,” said Usec. Panganiban in recognizing the contributions of the dairy farmers.

The project includes an ESL pasteurizer set, standby generator, air compressor, refrigerated van, and raw materials.

Enerio conveyed his gratitude to DA-PRDP for the realization of the project.

“The project is timely after the pandemic since the market of our products has slowly bounced back,” he said.

The project was implemented under the Investments in Rural Enterprises and Agriculture and Fisheries Productivity (IREAP) component of the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP) which aims to strengthen and develop viable agri-fishery-based enterprises through efficient value chains of key agricultural and fishery products.

Supporting the ceremony were DA-10 Regional Technical Director for Operations Carlota S. Madriaga, NFA Administrator Roderico Bioco, El Salvador Mayor Edgar Lignes, members of the DA-10 Regional Management Committee, and other officials. (ATC)
