Aberin also reported that there are no online sabong operating in the region.
“Mostly here motaya (gamble) in online sabong, but there are no operators here,” he said.
He added that all the barangay chairmen in the region have certified the non-existence of online sabong operations in their respective areas.
Meanwhile, the PRO-7 chief thanked the community in the region for the unyielding support they have provided to PRO-7.
He emphasized that the PRO-7 accomplishments could not be achieved without the support and help of the community.
“It’s not the sole responsibility po ng ating PNP ang mag provide ng security. We are working together with the different government agencies kagaya ng Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine Coast Guard, and the other stakeholders. Ang pinakamahalaga talaga yung indispensable cooperation and support ng ating Central Visayas community,” said Aberin.
This was echoed by PRO-7 spokesperson of the regional director, PLtCol. Gerard Ace Pelare, who said the support of the communities in the region have played a big role in how PRO-7 has been able to achieve their accomplishments in their efforts to maintain peace and order in the region.
“It is always a joint undertaking. Law enforcement, maintenance of peace and security is always a joint undertaking between the government and the community. Mapasalamaton ang tibuok pwersa sa Police Regional Office 7 sa suporta nga gihatag sa community sa Central Visayas,” said Pelare.
