MARAWI CITY (PIA) — The Police Regional Office for the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO-BAR), reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring peace, order, and public safety across the Bangsamoro Region.
“We remain steadfast in our mission to serve and protect our people, uphold peace and order, ensure public safety, and deliver public services with utmost dedication and loyalty. Here in the Bangsamoro region, the PNP [Philippine National Police] is united and fully committed to advancing the government’s vision of stability, progress, safety, and lasting peace for our people,” said Police BGen. Romeo Macapaz, Regional Director of PRO-BAR, during the turnover of new police vehicles to Lanao del Sur police stations, February 20.
Macapaz emphasized that the 41 newly acquired personnel carrier vehicles significantly enhance PRO-BAR’s operational capacity. These vehicles improve mobility and support critical missions, including internal security operations, civil disturbance management, search and rescue, relief efforts, and combating criminality and terrorism.
“These assets align with our capacity-building initiatives, ensuring that PROBAR remains agile, responsive, and fully equipped to meet the evolving challenges of law enforcement in our region,” he stated.
The regional director also reiterated that obtaining these vehicles reflects the PNP’s commitment to equipping regional offices with the necessary resources to maintain public order and safety.
Macapaz expressed his gratitude to the national government, the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), and local government units in the region, especially the local chief executives, for their support in building the capabilities of the police force.
“Tunay na malaking tagumpay ang ating nakakamit kapag ang ating mga pinuno ay nagbibigay lakas sa ating mga kababayan,” he said.
(We achieve great success when our leaders give strength to our people.)
Macapaz emphasized that PRO-BAR remains resolute in upholding peace, security, and public safety, ensuring that the people of the Bangsamoro region receive the service they deserve.
“These vehicles are not merely tools for mobility. They are instruments of preparedness, responsiveness, and effectiveness in maintaining peace and order. With these new assets, rest assured that PRO-BAR is more capable, even more ready and determined to fulfill its mandate,” the regional director added. (APB/PIA-10 Lanao del Sur)
