PRO-CAR seizes 16M worth of illegal drugs in week-long operations

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet (PIA) — The  intensified anti-illegal drugs campaign in the Cordillera Region  has resulted to the seizure and destruction of more than P16 million worth of illegal drugs and the arrest of 21 drug personalities in a week-long operations.

Operatives from the various police units of the  Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO-CAR) conducted successful operations

from January 13 to 19, 2025,  resulting to the confiscation of 70,855 fully grown marijuana plants; 1,500 pieces of marijuana seedlings; 20,133.70 grams of marijuana leaves and fruiting tops; 3.99 grams of marijuana kush;55.73 ml of marijuana oil, and 23.94 grams of suspected shabu.

The PRO-CAR said that the overall Standard Drug Price of the confiscated and seized drugs amounted  to P16,817,406.43.

The operations also resulted in the arrest of 21 drug personalities with eight identified as High Value Individuals (HVI)  and 13  as  Street Level Individuals (SLI).

The most significant operations took place in Benguet where the operatives of the Benguet Police Provincial Office seized illegal drugs worth P10,957,596.00 and arrested two SLIs.
