DAVAO CITY (PIA) — The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Boards (RTWPB) XI successfully conducted the Kick-Off event for the 2025 Productivity Olympics.
This year’s Productivity Olympics recognizes the outstanding productivity efforts of the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) that embraced innovation, efficiency, and sustainability.
RTWPB Labor Representative Josefina C. Lim emphasized the significance of the Productivity Olympics as a prestigious platform that recognizes MSMEs excelling in their business. She highlighted how this biennial competition not only promotes productivity but also fosters healthy competition, business growth, and knowledge-sharing among MSMEs.
“The Productivity Olympics is prestigious event that serves as a platform for recognizing outstanding MSMEs that have embraced innovation, efficiency, and sustainability-proving that productivity is the key to business growth and competitiveness.” Lim said.
Coffee for Peace Chief Executive Officer Feliciatias B. Pantoja shared her experience on how the RTWPB help her grow her business and also how she promoted the Mindanawon Culture to her business and how she treated her employees.
“I am happy to be here and to be reunited with the people who helped me in 2019 sa Productivity Award. Sa employee side, yung aming café outlet, we provide uniforms that represent the mindanao culture. Naka-tubaw po yung aming mga empleyado to highlight the culture here. syempre, sumusunod po tayo sa DOLE rules.” Pantoja stated.
(My employees wear the tubaw to highlight the culture here, of course, we follow DOLE rules.)

According to Lim, the Productivity Olympics 2025 aims not only to promote productivity and quality but also to foster healthy and positive competition, opening more opportunities for both MSMEs and their employees in Region 11.
Lim also encourages all MSMEs to take part in the Productivity Olympics, highlighting it as a valuable opportunity for growth, innovation, and recognition.
“Oh, definitely! They should join! I am encouraging all the MSMEs out there to join the Productivity Olympics. This is happening every year, and it will not only promote their business but also provide them opportunities to learn, interact, and expose their businesses—especially the positive ones.” Lim said.
