CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY (PIA) – The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – 10 announced that it will be hosting the Regional Data Festival Mindanao Cluster to be held here in the city on October 14-15, 2024.
Janith C. Aves, regional director of PSA-10, announced during the ninth episode of the Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas on July 23.
Aves said the festival aims to feature research papers from students and government agencies. Participants include students, professors, selected local government units (LGUs), Regional Committee Statistics (RSC) members from Mindanao regions, and some regional line agencies.
“This regional data festival ang atung e showcase ani ang mga research from the students, government agencies or any papers, pwede nila e-present during the regional data festival,” she explained.

Sarah Balagbis, chief statistical specialist of PSA-10, explained that the papers will focus on key topics such as statistical theory and methodology, demographic and social statistics, sustainability, environment and energy, statistical information management and dissemination, and innovations in statistical applications and business processes.
She added that there are also topics on multi-sectoral statistics or other concerns, such as career and statistics, local-level statistics, and statistics on economics and governance. (PJSF/PIA-10)
