ILOILO CITY – The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) 6 urged all agencies to participate in the 35th National Statistics Month (NSM) celebration, which officially opened October 1 at the SM City Iloilo.
The theme for this year’s celebration is “Advancing Data and Statistics Through Digital Transformation: A Road to an Empowered Nation,” which highlights efforts to modernize the statistical system through the adoption of digital tools and platforms to improve statistics accuracy, timeliness, and accessibility.
To further the cause of improving statistical literacy across all sectors, PSA invites all government agencies, academic institutions, and the private sector to participate in a series of activities throughout October.
These include a tree planting activity, contests on poster – making, infographics design, statistical analysis, quiz bee, chess competition and Statistiktok.
The PSA invites the public to attend the opening ceremony and participate in the various activities planned for this year’s celebration in order to better understand the role that statistics play in shaping policies and driving national economic and social development. (AAL/ED/PIA6)
