CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro (PIA) — Residents from Barangays Ibaba East and Ibaba West, all from Calapan City, availed of essential services from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Oriental Mindoro and other local and national government agencies through the “Serbisyong Tama Program” of the Calapan City government.
Among the services offered by the Oriental Mindoro Provincial Statistical Office included the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP), which seeks to ensure that all Filipino births are registered with local civil registry offices.
It also facilitated the enrollment of individuals in the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys), with a special focus on marginalized communities.
In addition to BRAP, PSA provided consultations for clients with document inconsistencies.
The agency also distributed information materials on Republic Act No. 9048 (Correction of Clerical Errors), Republic Act No. 10172 (Correction of Errors in Birthdate and Gender), and civil registration procedures to raise public awareness and enhance their rights.
