SAN JOSE, Antique (PIA) — The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Antique Provincial Statistical Office coordinated with 15 local government units (LGUs) in the province, specifically representatives from the Office of the Mayor and Municipal Civil Registrar (MCR) for the integration of the National ID authentication services.
The meeting covered a thorough discussion of the National ID authentication services and the process of onboarding as the relying parties through the National ID eVerify.
Chief Statistical Specialist Randy M. Tacogdoy of PSA Antique emphasized the importance of onboarding the authentication services at the local government units.
Registration Officer III Jared Xerxes Barile of PSA in Western Visayas, presented an overview of the National ID features, issuance related to National ID, various formats of the National ID, and the onboarding process via the National ID eVerify.
The presentation was followed by a technical discussion led by the General Service Use Case Division personnel from the PSA Central Office on how authentication system works, its use cases, and how MCRs and local offices can integrate it into daily operations.
The onboarding of authentication services at the local level hopes to provide access to people of government services especially those needing identification cards. (AGP/PSM/PIA Antique with reports from PDG/PSA)
