VIRAC, Catanduanes (PIA) – As part of its 10th anniversary celebration, Philippine Statistics Authority – Catanduanes conducted “Outstanding PSA Stakeholders’ Appreciation Ceremony” on September 22, 2023.
According to Chief Statistical Specialist Anavi F. Camacho, the activity aimed to show appreciation and gratitude to the unwavering support given by the awardees to PSA which played an integral role in making their programs successful.
In her keynote address, Camacho underscored the significance of the event and the remarkable achievements of the awardees. According to her, the individuals and organizations were recognized for their outstanding contributions in various categories, including Outstanding Media Advocates, Outstanding Respondents and Outstanding Partners.
The awardees for different categories were: Outstanding Media Advocates–Philippine Information Agency (TV Network Category); Catanduanes Tribune (Print Media Category); and Radyo Pilipinas (Radio Network Category).
Outstanding Respondents– LGU Virac – Municipal Engineering Office and Catanduanes Police Provincial Office (LGU and Provincial Offices Category); Christian Polytechnic Institute of Catanduanes, Inc. (Academe Category); First Catanduanes Electric Cooperative, Inc. (Establishment Category); Ruel D. Abundo (Outstanding Household Respondent–Special Award).
Outstanding Partner: Catanduanes Association of Municipal Civil Registrars, Inc. (in Civil Registration); LGU San Miguel, DILG Catanduanes and Catanduanes State University (in PSA Statistical Advocacy Activities); LGU Bato, Provincial Planning and Development Office (Outstanding Partner in Statistical Planning, Policy, and Coordination).
PSA Catanduanes stressed that the legacy of recognition, appreciation, and community spirit forged during the ceremony will continue to illuminate the path towards a brighter future for the community. (PIA5/Catanduanes)
