IPIL, Zamboanga Sibugay (PIA) – The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) in Zamboanga Sibugay recently inaugurated a new Civil Registry System (CRS) Outlet at the YOHO Center in Ipil, aimed at making civil registration services more accessible to the residents of the province.
The new outlet provides a streamlined process for acquiring essential civil registry documents, including birth, marriage, and death certificates.
The new outlet will significantly reduce the time and effort of residents who previously had to spend 3–4 hours traveling to access these important records.
Abdulah Capunol, a senior citizen from Titay town and one of the first few clients to use the new outlet, expressed his gratitude for the convenience it offers.
For years, I’ve struggled with an incorrect and incomplete name on my records, and correcting it was difficult due to travel and expenses. But the new CRS outlet here in Ipil is a huge help,” Capunol said.

The PSA ensures that citizens can easily obtain the documents they need for various purposes, such as school enrollment, employment applications, and other legal transactions.

Atty. Richard Tabigne, Chief Statistical Specialist, emphasized the outlet’s significance in improving service accessibility for Sibugaynons, as well as for residents of neighboring towns and provinces.
This facility will serve anyone needing to obtain or request documents such as birth, marriage, or death certificates, as well as other PSA records. It is designed to bring services closer to the people, ” Tabigne said.
This initiative highlights the PSA’s commitment to improving the efficiency and accessibility of civil registration services not only for Zamboanga Sibugay but also for surrounding towns and provinces.
The CRS Outlet will utilize an online appointment system, ensuring easy access for all residents, whether from Zamboanga Sibugay or beyond. The system aims to streamline services, reduce wait times, and enhance both efficiency and customer satisfaction. (JPA/RBI/PIA9-Zamboanga Sibugay)
