QUEZON CITY, (PIA) — In celebration of National Women’s Month, the Philippine Statistics Authority-National Capital Region Provincial Statistical Office II (PSA NCR PSO II) is bringing the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) registration closer to every Filipina and their households.
The initiative aims to ensure comprehensive access to the National ID for all women, particularly those in vulnerable situations.
As part of its commitment to inclusivity, the PSA NCR PSO II launched a special house-to-house registration initiative, prioritizing individuals with mobility constraints.
A notable success story from this effort includes a 94-year-old bedridden resident from Barangay Payatas, Quezon City, who completed her National ID registration with direct assistance from PSA personnel.
This case highlights the agency’s dedication to serving even the most marginalized sectors of society.
“This initiative underscores our commitment to providing accessible and convenient registration services to all Filipinos, regardless of their physical condition or location,” a PSA representative said.
The agency remains focused on ensuring that every citizen can benefit from a valid and secure national identification system.
The National ID serves as official proof of identity, facilitating access to government services, financial transactions, and social protection programs.
Through efforts like these, the PSA NCR PSO II aims to empower individuals, particularly women, by providing them with formal identities that enhance their participation in society.
By continuing to prioritize accessibility in the registration process, the PSA NCR PSO II is taking significant strides toward fostering inclusivity and supporting the empowerment of women across the region. (JEG/PIA-NCR)
