PSA NCR PSO II expands nat’l ID coverage at specialized financial institution

MANILA, (PIA) — The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) National Capital Region (NCR) Provincial Statistical Office II (PSO II) has announced an expansion of its National ID registration services at the Philippine Cooperative Financial Institutions (PCFCI).

This initiative, the PSA NCR PSO II said, aims to assist employees who struggle to visit registration centers due to work schedules and personal commitments.

In direct response to a request from PCFCI, PSA NCR PSO II is enhancing access to the National ID, a critical tool for promoting financial inclusion, social protection, and streamlined government transactions.

The collaboration underscores the agency’s commitment to broadening access to registration by bringing services directly to local communities.

“This strategic partnership is vital for reaching Filipinos who may have limited access to registration centers,” said a PSA NCR PSO II representative. “By facilitating registration at workplaces, we can ensure more individuals obtain their National IDs.”

The initiative is expected to significantly contribute to the establishment of a unified identification system in the Philippines.

Organizations interested in facilitating institutional registration are encouraged to contact PSA NCR PSO II through their official channels.

This expansion reflects a growing recognition of the importance of inclusive access to identification, which is essential for participating in the financial system and accessing government services. (JCO/PIA-NCR)
