TACURONG CITY, Sultan Kudarat (PIA) — Residents of Sultan Kudarat need not go to other provinces to get a copy of their civil registry documents after the Philippine Statistics Authority in Soccsksargen opened its Civil Registration Services (CRS) system outlet in Tacurong City.
National Statistician and Civil Registry General Undersecretary Claire Dennis Mapa, who led the recent inauguration of CRS in Tacurong, emphasized the importance of civil registration and vital statistics, particularly the birth certificate, which is the foundation of all documents.
According to Mapa, Tacurong City’s CRS is the 70th outlet nationwide and the 4th in the Soccsksargen region.
The latest CRS outlet, according to lawyer Maqtahar Manulon, PSA Soccsksargen Regional Director, aims to assist in reducing the number of clients served at the outlets in the cities of Koronadal, Kidapawan, and General Santos.
“This milestone symbolizes the PSA’s commitment to continuously providing the highest quality of civil registration services for all Filipinos and improving civil registration and vital statistics in the country,” Manulon said.
CRS outlets are capable of accommodating requests for the issuance of civil registry documents on “security” paper.
The most common civil registry documents issued by the CRS outlet include birth, marriage, death certificates, and certificates of no marriage, or CENOMAR.

The new CRS outlet is located at Binoy’s Arcade, Bonifacio Street extension, Barangay Poblacion, Tacurong City. (ORVR – PIA Sultan Kudarat)
