PSA recognizes outstanding civil registrars office in Guimaras

ILOILO CITY (PIA) — The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Guimaras recognized the exemplary service and dedication of the local civil registration offices in the island kicking off the provincewide celebration of the 35th Civil Registration Month (CRM) this February.

“The awarding ceremony honored top-performing LCROs for their exemplary service and dedication to delivering efficient and accessible civil registration,” said Provincial Statistics Officer Nelida B. Losare during the opening ceremony held on February 3, 2025, at the OMAS Function Hall, Poblacion in Nueva Valencia town.

Jordan LCRO was named as the 2024 First Best LCRO, followed by Nueva Valencia LCRO in second place and Buenavista LCRO in third place.

Losare commended Jordan LCRO for its outstanding contributions, including its sponsorship of 745 free Certificates of Live Births, which provided legal documents to disadvantaged individuals in the municipality.

Also, Jordan LCRO was recognized for conducting the most number of civil registration-related activities, underscoring its commitment to raising awareness and educating the public on the importance of civil registration. It further assisted 248 individuals under the Birth Registration Assistance Project, the highest number of beneficiaries recorded in the province.

Meanwhile, Sibunag LCRO received recognition for its timeliness and accuracy in submitting monthly Decentralized Vital Statistics System (DVSS) reports, demonstrating efficiency and commitment to civil registration data management.

Nueva Valencia LCRO was also cited for achieving the most number of digitized legal documents, with 20,184 records successfully digitized in 2024.

This milestone significantly improved the accessibility and efficiency of civil registration services in the province,” said Losare.
