TACLOBAN CITY — A total of 247 beneficiaries received copy of their Birth Certificate in Security Paper during the PhilSys Birth Registration Assistance Project (PBRAP) Awarding held at the Cabuggayan Municipal Civic Center in the province of Biliran on November 7, 2023.
The event was attended by representatives from the Philippine Statistics Authority – Regional Statistical Services Office VIII (PSA RSSO 8) led by Regional Director Wilma A. Perante together with PSA Biliran Chief Statistical Specialist Renavil V. Cueva, Registration Officer III Marife R. Molon, and Registration Officer II Edna D. Felicita.
The occasion was also graced by the Cabucgayan, Biliran Mayor Gemma G. Adobo who assisted in the awarding ceremony.
Mayor Adobo warmly welcomed and thanked the PSA and the Local Civil Registry Office of Cabucgayan for administering the registration of those constituents who were given the chance to finally have copy of their birth documents.
The PBRAP was implemented in the country targeting the registration especially the poorest of the poor in marginalized communities and help them to be enrolled with PhilSys National Identification System.
