PSA Siquijor offers Nat’l ID registration on Women’s Month celeb

SIQUIJOR, Siquijor (PIA) — The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) here will offer National ID registration services during the Women’s Month Celebration of the Provincial Government of Siquijor at the Dugokanan sa Kapitolyo, Capitol, Polangyuta, Siquijor on March 7.

“This includes updating or correcting the demographics of the National ID, printing the paper form of the National ID and assisting in generating and downloading the registrant’s Digital National ID,” said Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Siquijor officer-in-charge, supervising statistical specialist Engr. Joselito C. Maghanoy.

He said their office will also cater to the unregistered individuals under Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP) and other civil registration concerns.

PSA continues to implement the Birth Registration Assistance Project across the country.

The project primarily aims to improve birth registration rates, particularly among marginalized communities such as Indigenous Peoples (IPs), Muslim Filipinos, and the country’s poorest sectors.

BRAP also seeks to ensure that these groups are enrolled in the Philippine Identification System and are issued a Philippine Identification (PhilID) card, which serves as a key gateway for accessing social benefits and securing legal identity.

With the issuance of birth records and PhilIDs, these populations can now access essential social services and exercise their fundamental rights, proving their legal identity in the process.

Other government agencies will participate and offer their various services in celebration of the 2025 National Women’s Month with the theme, “Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas.”

The activity aims to deliver essential services and programs to unite women from all sectors, making it easier for them to avail government services and support.

PSA services are also available at the Fixed Registration Center, 1F Siquijor Business and Convention Center, Corner Mabini – Sta. Fe Street Barangay Poblacion in Siquijor town. (rac/PIA-Siquijor with reports from PSA Siquijor)
