QUEZON CITY, (PIA) — In a bid to strengthen the local economy, the Quezon City government is set to launch the country’s pioneering Future of Work Conference which aims to bring about beneficial discussions within the landscape of work and labor.
The said conference will primarily enjoin business leaders, change makers, and entrepreneurs towards the development of sustainable workplace practices and strategies that ensure adaptive business growth amid the shifting economic climate.
“With the past few years marked by unprecedented disruptions across industries, the Quezon City Future of Work Conference offers insights and strategies to help businesses thrive amid uncertainty,” according to the city government.
“This conference not only supports the growth of individual businesses but also contributes to the overall economic prosperity of the city by enhancing the capabilities of the workforce and employers,” it added.
In addition, the conference seeks to help businesses discern the increasing importance of giving a crucial priority to mental health in the workplace to cater to the holistic well-being of employees.
It equally aspires to promote the advancement of an inclusive business environment by providing essential tools to efficiently manage workplace diversity.
The QC Future of Work Conference will have plenary sessions for two days featuring discourses on social and environmental responsibility, cybersecurity, workplace safety, inclusive business policy, employee protection, and disaster risk management and climate action, among others.
The conference will also provide a platform for exhibitors from city government including the city’s Business Permits and Licensing Department, Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability Department, Local Economic and Investment Promotions Office, and the Small Business and Cooperatives Development and Promotions Office.
The purpose of the exhibit is to shed light on the essential programs and services of the local government that are related to business development such as the Safety Seal Certification, Automatic Document Delivery System (ADDS), Healthy Public Food Procurement, StartUp QC, and Pangkabuhayang QC.
The Future of Work Conference is scheduled to take place on November 13 to 14.
