CABARROGUIS, Quirino (PIA)- -The Department of the interior and Local Government (DILG-Quirino) announced that 14 barangays in the province had shown exemplary performance during the 2024 Excellence Award on Governance and Leadership (EAGLE) Awards which was held recently at the Isabela Convention Center (ICON), Cauayan City, Isabela.
The barangays of Palacian and San Leonardo, Aglipay; Calaocan, Cabarroguis; Andres Bonifacio, Baguio Village and San Antonio in Diffun and La Paz, Saguday were adjudged as Outstanding Local Government Unit for the CY 2023 Seal of Good Local Governance for Barangay (SGLGB).
Barangay Andres Bonifacio in Diffun emerged as the Most Outstanding Lupong Tagapamayapa – Regional winner under 1st to 3rd Class Municipality.
Furthermore, the following were finalists under the following category:
Most Outstanding Barangay and Barangay Executive (Punong Barangay)-Calaocan, Cabarroguis; Most Outstanding Sangguniang Barangay-Dumabato Norte, Maddela; Most Outstanding Barangay Treasurer- Tucod, Cabarroguis; Most Outstanding Barangay Secretary- Del Pilar, Cabarroguis; Most Outstanding Barangay Tanod (Team Community Service)- Andres Bonifacio, Diffun; and Most Outstanding Barangay Tanod (Individual Community Service)- Villa Ventura, Aglipay.
