Quirino province, 3 towns receive Seal of Good Local Governance

CABARROGUIS, Quirino (PIA) – – The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) awarded Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) to the province of Quirino and three of its municipalities, namely Diffun, Maddela, and Saguday during the 2023 SGLG Awarding recently at the Manila Hotel.

Both the provincial government and LGU Saguday got their seventh seal, while LGUs Diffun and Maddela received their second award.

Also, Saguday was among the 22 LGUs nationwide that passed the seven-time evaluation.

Mayor Jerry Pagbilao said that its consistent SGLG success for fiscal years 2015 to 2019 and 2021, and in 2022, is a testament to the town’s dedication to delivering top-notch public service and executing impactful projects.

“What sets Saguday apart is not just the accolade but the tangible transformation it has brought to its community. The incentives from the SGLG have birthed projects like the Super Rural Health Unit, solar lights, gracing major highways, farm-to-market roads, and the left-wing extension of municipal hall,” Pagbilao stated.

Also, each of the municipalities has at least 50 percent of their barangays that participated in the Seal of Good Local Governance for Barangay, which qualified them for the Seal.
