TARLAC CITY (PIA) — About 15 child development workers in Ramos, Tarlac benefited from the skills training of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
They were trained on How to Start a Business as well as Cake and Pastry Making for business and livelihood.
DTI OIC-Provincial Director Florencia Balilo said the activity aimed to equip the participants with skills of their preference that will provide them with a sustainable source of income.
“The training was aligned with the participants’ interests which they could use to generate additional income while also being guided by the Negosyo Center for business development,” Balilo said.
Business Counselor Joana Obena discussed the rewards and risks of entrepreneurship, business opportunities, and the services they can avail from DTI particularly in Negosyo Center Ramos.
She also shared the entrepreneurial journey of some successful micro, small, and medium enterprises in order to inspire the participants in beginning their own businesses.
For his part, resource person Danilo Gacusan demonstrated the process of making caramel bars, banana muffins, brownies, yema tarts, chocolate cookies, and chiffon cake.
