SAN JOSE, Antique (PIA) — The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) eyes boosting the registration of Antiqueño children with the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) through its “Rehistro Bulilit” campaign.
This initiative seeks to increase the PhilSys registration turnout of children aged one to four years old and ensure that the younger generation also receives their own National ID, as mandated by Republic Act (RA) 11055 or the Philippine Identification System Act.
In Antique, PSA first held a Rehistro Bulilit event at Barangay Maybato North in San Jose de Buenavista town, where 75 individuals, inclusive of 22 children from one to four years of age, were successfully registered to the national identification system.

PSA Antique chief Randy M. Tacogdoy, in his message during the event, pointed out the importance of Filipinos being registered with PhilSys saying that it upholds a person’s right to identity.
Tacogdoy also reiterated that various formats of National Identification (ID), such as the National ID card, ePhilID, and the newest Digital National ID, must be accepted in all government and private transactions.
The official then stressed the validity and sufficiency of the National ID as a proof of identity, subject to authentication.
PSA Antique is set to bring Rehistro Bulilit to more communities in the coming months to register more Antiqueño children in PhilSys.
The schedule will soon be made available on the official Facebook page of PSA Antique (@PSA Antique). (AGP/BPS/PIA Antique)
