QUEZON CITY, (PIA) — This Lenten season, the National Parks Development Committee (NPDC) invites Catholic faithful to visit the Rizal Park Luneta and Paco Park to commemorate Holy Week.
An Interactive Stations of the Cross conceptualized by Reverend Father Jesus Madrid Jr., awaits devotees and park goers alike. It will operate from 14 to 19 April 2025, 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Mabini Hall. There will also be a re-enactment of the passion of Christ by the Cainta Nazareno, Inc. on April 16, 2025 (Holy Wednesday), 4:00 p.m. at the Central Section.
Meanwhile, the Semana Santa in Paco Park began with a Palm Sunday Mass at the St. Pancratius Chapel.
A Way of the Cross procession around the historic Paco Park will be held on Holy Monday, April 14, 5:00 p.m.

For the rest of the week, Paco Park, including the St. Pancratius Chapel will open its gates for the Stations of the Cross from 6:00 a.m. until 6:30 p.m., except on April 17 (Maundy Thursday) – the park and the chapel will be open until 12 midnight.
To end the week, a celebratory Easter Sunday Mass will be held on 20 April 2025 at 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
The Holy Week activities is made possible in cooperation with Saint Vincent de Paul Parish – Archdiocesan Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal and the Minor Basilica and National Shrine of Jesus Nazareno – St. John the Baptist Parish. (JEG/PIA-NCR)
