As we celebrate World AIDS Day on December 1, we are reminded of the continuing global fight against HIV and AIDS, commemorate those who perished from the disease, advocate support for People Living with HIV (PLHIV), and honor those who work to end HIV.
This year’s national celebration with the theme “Let Communities Lead – #SamaSamaTayo sa Laban Kontra-HIV, Dahil sa Bagong Pilipinas, Bawat Buhay ay Mahalaga,” calls for a bold, urgent and united action to prevent HIV, provide access to HIV and AIDS services, eliminate stigma and discrimination and other barriers that aggravate the spread of HIV.
The Philippine Information Agency is one with the PLHIV Community and the rest of the nation in this global campaign. As the premier information arm, we continue to disseminate updated and accurate information on prevention, treatment and protection of PLHIV rights to save lives.
