SAN JUAN, Abra(PIA) — The San Juan Municipal Police Station (MPS) has undergone recently the evaluation process for the Institutionalization Level of the Performance Governance System (PGS) of Philippine National Police.
This institutionalization of the PGS of the MPS reflects the commitment to good governance in partnership with different stakeholders.
The PGS has four stages, namely; Initiation Stage, Compliance Stage, Proficiency Stage and the Institutionalization Stage.
The San Juan MPS is the first municipal unit to undergo the evaluation process for the Institutionalization Stage.
The evaluation in different areas and elements included focus group discussions and direct interview of the locals.
During the evaluation program, San Juan MPS Chief of Police Captain (PCPT) Rebecca Bilog recognized the steadfast support of the different stakeholders and partners of San Juan MPS particularly the members of the Municipal Advisory Group for Police Transformation and Development (MAGPTD).
“Through the unending support of our partners and stakeholders, we were able to attain these accomplishments and breakthroughs. We made an impact in keeping San Juan more peaceful and orderly through the years,” Bilog said.
San Juan Mayor and MAGPTD chairperson Meynardo Bautista lauded the MPS for religiously keeping the town safe and peaceful for everyone.
“Bayat ti panag-mayor ko ditoy, awan ti problema ti LGU San Juan kadagiti kapulisan, nu di ket nasayaat ken nalinteg ti partnership in rendering services to our communities.
[Ever since I became the mayor here, the LGU has no problem with the cops, instead there is good and right partnership in rendering services to our communities.]
The Performance Governance System is PNP’s tracking mechanism towards the attainment of its vision by 2030 or the PATROL PLAN 2030. (JDP/CAGT- PIA CAR, Abra)
