MANILA, (PIA) — Mayor Jeannie Sandoval on Wednesday took to Facebook to showcase the efforts of the Malabon City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) in maintaining clean streets and walkways throughout the city.
Accompanying her message were photos displaying litter-free areas, underscoring the administration’s commitment to cleanliness beyond waterways.

In her post, Sandoval emphasized the importance of keeping not only bodies of water clean but also urban spaces, stating, “Hindi lang sa katubigan kailangan panatilihin ang kalinisan kundi rin sa kapatagan. 💙♻️” (Not only in bodies of water do we need to maintain cleanliness, but also in our land.)

The mayor urged residents to continue their efforts in keeping the city clean, adding, “Kalsadang walang basura, ayan ang gusto nating lahat kaya patuloy po tayo sa paglilinis at pagbabantay para rin maiwasan ang ilegal na pagkakalat at pagtatapon ng basura sa ating lungsod.” (Streets without garbage are what we all want, so let us continue cleaning and monitoring to prevent illegal dumping and littering in our city.)

Sandoval’s call to action highlights the city government’s ongoing initiatives to enhance urban cleanliness and promote environmental awareness among residents. (JCO/PIA-NCR)
