Chief Presidential Legal Counsel, Sec. Juan Ponce Enrile, criticized those calling for justice following the arrest of former President Rodrigo Duterte. He labeled their calls as a “ghastly irony,” pointing out that those who once committed unjust and violent acts are now desperate for justice.

Enrile slammed their hypocrisy, noting how they blame everyone but themselves for their miseriesโ€”miseries they created through their own arrogance, lust for power, and greed.
