TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan (PIA) – A total of P10 million in financial assistance for the medical and educational aid of the residents and students of Tuguegarao City through the office of Senator Bong Go.
The funds are aimed at addressing the medical needs of over 1,700 patients and providing educational support to around 1,200 college students.
Senator Go highlighted the importance of the aid, especially in light of the recent challenges faced by the city due to multiple typhoons and floods. His office continues to prioritize the needs of Tuguegarao’s residents during these difficult times.
Alongside the aid distribution, Senator Go also attended the opening of the Bagong Urgent Care and Ambulatory Service (BUCAS) Center in Peñablanca, Cagayan, one of 11 planned BUCAS centers in the province, designed to extend the services of Department of Health (DOH) hospitals.
“These centers will offer primary healthcare, including outpatient consultations, laboratory tests, minor surgeries, and emergency care,” Go said.
Mayor Maila Ting-Que expressed her appreciation for Senator Go’s consistent support, particularly noting the establishment of the Malasakit Center at a local hospital, which continues to benefit many marginalized patients.
“This early Christmas gift brings hope and relief to Tuguegarao’s people, showcasing the senator’s commitment to meeting their healthcare and educational needs,” said Mayor Ting-Que. (OTB/GVB/PIA Cagayan)
