CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro (PIA) — Senator Lito Lapid through the City Government of Calapan and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Oriental Mindoro distributed P3,000 worth of assistance to 333 beneficiaries of DSWD’s Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) held at the City Mall Activity Center, Brgy. Ilaya, Calapan City on September 27.
Together with Calapan City Mayor Marilou Flores-Morillo and Serbisyong Tama Center (STP) Administrator Peter Joseph V. Dytioco, the P1M financial assistance was successfully distributed to Calapeños from different sectors, mostly from the fisherfolks and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).
Meanwhile, Calapan native Erwin Agutaya, as Senator Lapid’s representative, personally witnessed the distribution.
Morillo extended her gratitude to the Senator and also wishes to continue the trust and support to the Senator’s projects and programs for the benefit of all Calapeños.
“Maraming maraming Salamat po Senator Lapid sa binigay niyong assistance dito sa aming lungsod ng Calapan. Malaking bagay po itong ipinagkaloob niyong pera upang makabawi kami sa taas ng bilihin sa aming lungsod at mailago pa ang aming kabuhayan,” a fisherfolk beneficiary from Calapan City said.
