SSS cites 8 Nueva Vizcaya employers for non-remittance of contributions

SOLANO, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) – The Social Security System (SSS) has intensified its crackdown on delinquent employers in Nueva Vizcaya through its Luzon-wide Run After Contribution Evaders (RACE) campaign.

Lawyer Vic Byron T. Fernandez, acting head of the SSS Luzon North 2 Division, led the operation in the town of Bambang.

Fernandez said the operation targeted 10 non-compliant employers who failed to remit SSS contributions for 29 employees, with total delinquencies amounting to more than 700,000 pesos.

He stated that eight of the 10 employers were cited for non-remittance, while two were found to be unregistered with the SSS. Following the operation, one employer made a partial payment.

“We are once again reminding employers through this RACE initiative to settle their overdue SSS contributions. Workers must not be deprived of their rightful benefits,” Fernandez emphasized.

The RACE campaign, implemented across Luzon, is part of the SSS’s ongoing push to encourage delinquent employers to fulfill their obligations under the Social Security Act of 2018.

Prior to the Bambang operation, the SSS also visited non-compliant businesses in Solano and Bayombong towns as part of the same campaign.

“We will continue to visit delinquent employers to remind them of their legal responsibilities. Fortunately, many have responded positively, allowing us to avoid filing legal actions against them,” Fernandez said. (BME/PIA Nueva Vizcaya)
