SSS flags erring employers in Abra

BANGUED, Abra (PIA) — The Social Security System (SSS) ensures that Abrenian workers in the private sector have social protection benefits in times of death, sickness, disability, and retirement among others.

Personnel of SSS-Bangued led by Branch Manager Edward Urua with SSS Luzon North 1 Division Legal Counsel Attorney Warden Domingo conducted a ‘Run After Contribution Evaders’ or RACE activity with eight employers in the capital town of Bangued on March 18.

During said activity, show cause orders were served to business establishments that  failed to comply with the provisions of the Social Security Law such as registration of employees and submission of employee records.

“Eight establishments ti napanan tayo ta adda findings ti SSS nga non- registration, non-reporting ken diay dadduma non-production. Ti advice ko dagiti employers, maki-communicate da kadagiti account officers ti SSS about diay coverage production letter a naited kadakuada ta idiayda Makita dagiti masapul da nga aramiden,” Domingo explained.

[Eight establishments were visited today because there were findings of SSS on registration, non-reporting and some of them non-reporting. My advice is for the employers to communicate with SSS’ account officers on the coverage production letter given to them where they can find what they need to comply.]

Domingo underscored that aside from reminding erring employers of their previous negligence, the RACE also serves as an activity to inform other employers in Abra on the provisions of the SSS Law.

[This RACE is important so that we can also inform employers on their obligations under the SSS law. It is also to follow-up the findings of SSS officers on them.]
