SSS North Luzon 1 recognizes media partners for promoting social security awareness

BAGUIO CITY (PIA) — The Social Security System- Luzon North 1 Division (SSS-LN1D) recognized its media partners for their outstanding support and invaluable contribution in promoting social security protection among Filipino workers through effective information dissemination.

Recognized during the SSS Year-Ender Press Conference and Media Appreciation event on Monday (Nov. 25, 2024) include DZWT 540 Radyo Totoo, Herald Express,  UNTv, Amianan Balita, Filipino News Sentinel, E. Carta Productions, Baguio Public Information Office, PTV Cordillera, Philippine Information Agency-CAR, Philippine News Agency, and  Radyo Pilipinas Baguio.

“Kayo po talaga ang kaagapay ng SSS  especially when it comes to [information] dissemination] sa gustong i-convey ng SSS sa mga members natin. Without you, siguro it’s very hard for us to go around and disseminate the information,” said SSS La Trinidad Branch Head Dominador Malatag.

SSS-LN1D Legal Department Manager lawyer  Blesselda Acosta  expressed her gratitude for the media’s  active participation in their  activities particularly  the Run After Contribution Evaders (RACE) operations to remind non-compliant employers to settle their delinquencies to ensure that their employees get the SSS benefits due them.

“Yung pagsama niyo sa amin, parang nakaganda sa coverage saka sa  collection. The numbers will not lie,  marami po tayong napacomply,” Acosta said.

She also thanked the media for providing space and airtime in radio and print, emphasizing the significant role they play in SSS campaigns.

Acosta expressed hope for continued collaboration as the SSS pursues its vision of universal coverage.

“We would like to thank each and every one of you for always being there.  Yung support niyo talaga, kailangan na kailangan ng SSS-Baguio, and you never fail us,” said SSS Baguio Assistant Branch Head Rosalie Ma. Rachel Castañeto.

Castañeto highlighted that the strong partnership with the media enabled  SSS to save on tri-media expenses  for its  information campaign while effectively reaching their target audience. (JDP/FBR-PIA CAR)
