CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY (PIA) — Celebrating its 30th anniversary and recognizing their milestone, the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA)-10 awarded its industry partners, legislators, national government agencies, local government units, non-government organizations, and media partners on September 6 at the Pearlmont Hotel, here.
“Sa TESDA, dili lang partnership ang among gipangita (it is not just partnership we are looking for). It is always a relationship-one that fosters transformational change for our people,” said Rafel Y. Abrogar II, TESDA-10 regional director.
With the theme, “Continuing Legacy of Empowering Filipinos, Elevating Global Competence,” TESDA acknowledged that the milestone is not theirs alone.
The support and contributions from their industry partners, legislators, national government agencies, local government units, non-government organizations, and other sectors are invaluable in realizing TESDA’s mission.
“When we look at those thousands of figures [enrolment, scholarship, and national certificates issued], there is a unique story behind each one.” There’s a father working hard to complete his training so he can provide a better life for his family. There’s a young person striving to improve their skills and achieve success,” Abrogar said.

Further, he reiterated that the true accomplishment of TESDA lies in the personal stories behind the numbers—in the efforts, dreams, and successes of every individual TESDA helped.
Meanwhile, Noralaine Rogong Rasul of TESDA Misamis Occidental shared that “friendship or the relationship is really of imperative significance, considering that it is through partnerships that truly impact the smooth implementation of the program of TESDA services.”
Furthermore, she reiterated that TESDA MisOcc will involve engagement and collaboration, teamwork with various agencies, and coordination with local government units.
“We revitalized and even strengthened, especially with a new friendship that we built for Misamis Occidental. And this year 2024, we recognize the very first chairmanship of the honorable governor, Atty. Henry S. Oaminal, as chairman of the Provincial Technical Education Skills and Development of the province of Misamis Occidental,” she said. (JMOR/PIA-10)
