Calling new applicants for Batch 26 of the Automotive Servicing Scholarship!
The Auto Mechanic Training Centre in Eastern Visayas, under the Technical Education Skills and Development Authority (TESDA), is currently accepting new scholars for its Automotive Servicing program.
This two-year scholarship training is meant to support young adults who are especially unable to continue or finish their studies due to financial constraints.

- Free medical and dental coverage;
- Free Driving National Certification (NC) Level II training;
- Free Driver’s License Application, and;
- 100% employment after two years of training
The eligibility criteria are as follows:
- Must be residents of Eastern Visayas;
- Age must be at least 16 to 23 years old by December 1, 2024;
- Single (not married, no children, no live-in partner);
- In good mental, emotional, and physical health with no tattoos;
- Member of an indigent family or Member of 4P’s program;
- Those who either finished Grade 10, Senior High School, Alternative Learning System (ALS), or College level;
- Morally upright (with a good moral character from the previous school graduated or enrolled);
- Willing to work immediately after completion of the program;
- Willing to work from Mondays to Saturdays;
- Willing to stay in the dormitory for the whole duration of two years, and;
- Fully vaccinated

Submit all documentary requirements at the TESDA Auto Mechanic Training Center, located by the ISUZU Building, Barangay 91, Abucay, Tacloban City.

Evaluation criteria
Interested applicants will undergo a screening process that includes an aptitude test, interview, and home visit. The project’s recruitment committee will determine the final selection based on tallied scores and deliberation.
The application deadline is on or before July 26.

The Auto Mechanic Training Centre is part of the “Heart and Smile” project in partnership with Isuzu. This multinational automobile manufacturer pursues the production, marketing, and sale of commercial vehicles and diesel engines.
Gamaliel B. Vicente Jr., Regional Director of TESDA-8, reported 403 individuals who have graduated from their training center since 2010.
Each one of them was also given 100% placement in on-the-job training (OJT) and employment with industry partners, both locally and internationally.
