CAMIGUIN (PIA) — The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Camiguin Provincial Office has launched a series of Training Induction Programs (TIPs) to begin new skills training for aspiring electricians, drivers, and cooks under the Special Training for Employment Program (STEP).

On October 24, the TESDA Camiguin Provincial Office, in partnership with Camiguin Polytechnic State College (CPSC), hosted a TIP at the Camiguin Polytechnic State College (CPSC) campus to mark the start of the Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II course.

“The TIP welcomed 25 participants who gathered from across the province to embark on their skill-development journey,” said TESDA Camiguin Provincial Director Mohaisen R. Manalao.

CPSC, led by Professor Reynaldo F. Margelino, is a key partner in providing the training facilities and resources essential to the program’s success.

In a similar initiative, TESDA Camiguin conducted another TIP on October 14, this time hosted by the Camiguin School of Arts and Trades (CSAT) for the Driving NC II and Cookery NC II programs.

“The TIP welcomed 49 participants—25 for Driving NC II and 24 for Cookery NC II—who gathered from across the province to embark on their skill-development journey,” said Manalao.

The event, held at CSAT, was facilitated by Manalao and Supervising TESD Specialist Amores, along with CSAT’s Vocational School Administrator, Karol Sanggomay P. Ranalan.

Manalao highlighted that these programs aim to provide participants with industry-relevant skills, thereby boosting their employability and enabling them to make positive contributions to their communities.

He added that TESDA Camiguin continues to invest in skill-development initiatives, recognizing the significant impact these programs have on the local workforce. STEP provides specialized training to participants, enhancing their employability and aligning with the province’s ongoing efforts to support economic growth and skill advancement.
