BONTOC, Mountain Province (PIA) — A total of 133 individuals have gained knowledge and skills for employment and livelihood opportunities after successfully completing their technical skills trainings.
Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Acting Provincial Director Melita D. Pinic conferred National Training Certificates II and III to the successful trainees on Bookkeeping NCIII, Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NCII, and Driving NCII Program during their graduation on May 17 at the Multipurpose Hall in Poblacion, Bontoc. All are scholars at the Northland Technical Institute Incorporated.
Pinic advised the graduates to cherish the guidance provided by their mentors and to continue to excel in their chosen fields.
“The guidance of your mentors as you go on your respective path is know that your achievements are testament to your hard work and determination. As you continue to grow and excel in your chosen field, remember that a journey does not end here; lifelong learning and continuous improvement are the main keys in staying thriving in your careers,” she said.
Executive Assistant Ernesto B. Bondad, representing Governor Bonifacio C. Lacwasan Jr., encouraged the graduates to be confident of themselves since they are already equipped with the knowledge and skills from their trainings.
“You should be confident to roam around the world, there is nothing to worry because you are equipped professionally, you are equipped ethically. Don’t worry, because of the skills and knowledge you have, you are ready even if you wish to work abroad,” Bondad said.
“Keep striving, keep moving, keep going, and keep learning. You have achieved a great deal, but do not stop there, keep moving forward,” Congressman Maximo Y. Dalog, Jr. also urged in his message delivered by Wabilyn Lomong-oy.
Starter toolkits were also distributed to the 20 beneficiaries of the 2023 Special Training for Employment Program for SMAW NCII. This was in partnership with the Office of the Congressman. (JDP/VJLT- PIA-Mt. Province)
