TESDA-NCR, BuCor sign MOA to provide techvoc training for PDLs

PASIG CITY, (PIA) — The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to provide skills training for persons deprived of liberty (PDL).

The agreement was signed by TESDA-NCR Regional Director Engr. Jovencio M. Ferrer Jr., TESDA MuntiParLasTaPat (Muntinlupa, Parañaque, Las Piñas, Taguig, Pateros) District Director Maria Gracia P. Dela Rama, with BuCor’s C/CSupt Celso S. Bravo, C/SSupt Gerardo F. Padilla, C/TSupy Dorothy C. Bernabe, and C/CInsp Ruben R. Formoso

The MOA aims to strengthen the cooperation between TESDA and BuCor for PDLs to raise the quality of training and to provide them with technical and vocational education training (TVET) for their reformation and preparation upon their return to the community.

Likewise, the partnership aspires to produce competent scholar graduates and a consistent pool of future technician workforce for our country.

TESDA continuously provides trainings that serve as an effective reformation program for PDLs. (JEG/PIA-NCR)
