TESDA XI still looking for providers, experts for content creation courses

DAVAO CITY (PIA) – The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) XI is still looking for qualified training providers to deliver its newly developed course on content creation.

Early this year, TESDA developed the competency standards alongside the training regulations for offering a course on content creation.

However, TESDA in the region has yet to roll out the program as they are still looking for qualified training centers to offer the said course.

“May competency standard na tayo sa content creation, pero sa kasalukuyan naghahanap tayo ng providers for that na mag-offer ng course na ito,” Engr. Melanie Domingo, school administrator of Wangan National Agricultural School, said during the Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas on December 17.

(We already have a competency standard in content creation, but we are currently looking for providers to offer this course.)

Domingo urged training centers in the region that have the capacity to offer the program to reach out to them for guidance on the registration and accreditation processes.

“Kung sino pong interesado, kindly contact lag po yung TESDA provincial office and regional office natin dito sa Davao para matulungan sa mga requirements,” she added.

Meanwhile, TESDA-XI information officer Jonathan Caasi emphasized the need for adequate infrastructure and specialized equipment before a provider can offer the course.

He added that the proper equipment is crucial in equipping learners with the necessary skills to convey their messages effectively.

While the course aimed to help learners produce quality materials, Caasi said that the course also intended to learners advocates, especially in combating fake news.

“This training program is para ma-educate nato atong mga content creator, especially on sharing fake news, or more on advocacy sya,” Caasi shared.

Aside from looking for providers, Caasi revealed that they are also looking for experts in content creation who help them craft the modules for the course.

“Naa na tay competency standards so we’re finding experts na siya pod magbuhat sa modules based sa competency standards,” he added.

However, Caasi is optimistic that the course will be offered in the region next year, noting that they are currently collaborating with various organizations, training centers, and government agencies to ensure that all necessary preparations are made for the smooth implementation of the course in the region next year.
