ILOILO CITY (PIA) – Tickets for the highly-anticipated showcase of cultural performances during this year’s Dinagyang Ati Tribes competition scheduled on Jan. 26, 2025 have been sold out early.
The Iloilo Festivals Foundation Inc. (IFFI) confirmed the information on Jan. 8, noting that over 2,000 tickets were made available to the public beginning on Dec. 15, 2024 for two judging areas namely, the Quezon-Ledesma and Mabini-Delgado.
This year, the IFFI introduced an online ticketing system that can be accessed through dinagyangtickets.com for the Dinagyang Festival, giving people a more convenient access in securing their spots during the contest contributed to the brisk ticket sales for the Ati Tribes competition.
Tickets for the Ati Tribes competition cost P2,000 for silver tier, and P2,500 for gold tier.
While tickets for the Ati Tribes competition are no longer available, IFFI said that tourists can still avail the remaining tickets for the Kasadyahan sa Kabanwahanan competition on January 25 with prices ranging from P700 (silver tier) and P1,200 (gold tier).
Kasadyahan sa Kabanwahanan competition is a prelude to the Ati Tribes competition participated by different towns in Iloilo province for the chance to showcase their own local festivals, highlighting their unique culture and traditions.
IFFI emphasized that all ticket sales for both events are final and non-refundable with a QR code sent to the emails of buyers, which they must present together with a valid ID upon entry to the event.
Meanwhile, aside from the two mentioned judging areas for the events, the Iloilo City government also has reserved 2,400 seats at the Freedom Grandstand for the city government’s representatives, sponsors, and invited guests; while similar reserved seats on the Capitol area will be managed by the Iloilo Provincial government.
There will be eight tribes participating in this year’s Dinagyang Ati competition, which include the Tribu Pan-ay of Fort San Pedro National High School that will try to defend its title this year, Tribu Paghidaet (La Paz NHS), Tribu Salognon (Jaro NHS), Tribu Parianon (Iloilo City NHS), Tribu Ilonganon (Jalandoni Memorial NHS), Tribu Hangaway (Graciano Lopez Jaena ES), Tribu Pag-asa kang Manduryaw (Mandurriao NHA), and Tribu Molave (Barangay San Rafael, Mandurriao).
