LAGAWE, Ifugao (PIA) — Two municipal police stations (MPS) will soon be constructed in the province in line with revitalization and capability enhancement initiative of the Philippine National Police.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the three-storey MPS building for Aguinaldo and the standard Type B/C designed for Alfonso Lista MPS was held on February 4. These projects are funded through the National Expenditure Program 2025.
This underscores the commitment of the national and local government and the PNP in bolstering law enforcement infrastructure in the region for efficient crime prevention and public safety.
“My sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to making these projects possible. Let us continue working together to build a safer place. May this endeavor bring lasting benefits to our community,” said Police Regional Office – Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO-CAR) Regional Director Brigadier General David Peredo, Jr. lauded the LGUs for their unwavering support to the PNP’s plans and programs and land donations.
Aguinaldo Mayor Gaspar Chilagan Jr. expressed his gratitude to the PNP for their steadfast commitment to public service.
“This new facility represents our shared goal of a peaceful and progressive Aguinaldo. With a more equipped and modern police station, our law enforcers will be able to serve our community even better, and we will continue to support the PNP in its mission to uphold peace and order,” Chilagan stated.
Alfonso Lista Mayor Edralin B. Alipio also thanked the PNP especially the PRO-CAR, for their unwavering commitment to serving and protecting the people of the municipality.
Office of the Governor Executive Assistant Tom Guinomon underscored the importance of security and public order in driving progress and development.
