MAKATI CITY, (PIA) — Good news! Students from the University of Makati (UMak) recently bagged the Best Student Short Film award in the recently held 50th Anniversary of the Metro Manila Film Festival.
Selina Claire Napano, Michael Glenn Santos, and Gabriel Seth Carson won the award with their animated film, “Saan Aabot ang 50 Pesos Mo?” which triumphed over nine other finalists from various higher education institutions across the Philippines.
Makati Mayor and UMak Board of Regents Chair, Mar-Len Abigail Binay, and representatives from the Institute of Arts and Design Florabel Berenguela-Esteban and Eduard Riparip were present during the MMFF’s Gabi ng Parangal.
As part of the 50th Anniversary celebration of the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) held the Student Short Film Competition, a vibrant platform that showcased the talents and creativity of young Filipino filmmakers. (JEG/PIA-NCR)
