Their journey began in 2008, when the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) identified them as one of the poor households eligible for the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps). Despite the financial struggles, Lydio and Jocelyn prioritized their children’s education, instilling a strong sense of responsibility and determination.

One of their children, Lyca Jane, exemplifies their family’s proactive approach to financial challenges.

Despite the difficulties, Lyca Jane and her siblings worked part-time to contribute to their family’s well-being while balancing their studies. Their dedication and resilience testify to their strong work ethic and understanding of the importance of education in securing a better future.
